This is practice, not perfect. My goal is to open a welcoming and constructive space for you to practice a skill that can make us feel nervous. Your goal is to use this space to learn and practice this skill. Think about what specifically you want to practice. It might be simply to present even when you feel nervous, and just get to the end of that 5 minutes, or you might want to practice speaking slowly. This is up to you. The model is meant to give you a structure to follow, but the rest of the experience is up to you.

You can expect things to go like this:

I will put a list in the chat of the order in which you will present
We will briefly review what constructive peer feedback looks like, and ensure you each have the feedback template on your own screen to guide you.
We will quickly check that everyone has co-host access and can see the share screen option (if you need this), and the record option.
I will invite you to share what you hope to learn from peer feedback, and check that you are ready to go (up to 2 minutes)
You will click record (on your own computer), which will begin your 5 minutes to present
I will hold up or type in chat a time cue for 2 minutes left, then 30 seconds left, and give you a 5 second count down.
Once time is called, your peers will have 3 minutes to type their feedback into the chat for you, following the guide. (Total time per person = 10 minutes)
After class, I recommend you review your peer feedback and watch your video within 24 hours, so you can more easily connect what you learn to what you remember from the experience itself. Then, go to the discussion forum to share what you think went well and what you might do differently (see below for more about this).
