Course Syllabus
About
The syllabus page shows a table-oriented view of the course schedule. You can add comments, notes, or thoughts you have about the course structure, course policies, textbook information, or anything else.
Recommended:
- For consistency with other courses in the program, use the HPE Syllabus Template, available in the OneDrive folder: HPE Program Templates and Guides.
- You can also link to a PDF of your course syllabus: How do I insert links to course content into the Rich Content Editor using the Content Selector?
- If inserting a file link, consider setting the file to auto-open for inline preview. This allows the file to display right on the page vs. the student needing to download/open the file. To do this:
- 1) Insert the Course Link to your Syllabus file (PDF).
- 2) Still within the Rich Content Editor, click on the link and select "Link Options".
- 3) Select "Preview inline" and "Expand preview by Default".
- 4) Press the "Done" button and then the "Update Syllabus" button to save your changes.

The following is a note that you should leave in for students:
Due dates included in the course syllabus are the official due dates for this class, regardless of how these due dates are listed elsewhere in the course. These dates may be modified within the syllabus under some circumstances if there are no objections by the instructor or students in the class. If you see a discrepancy between the dates in the syllabus and elsewhere in the course, please bring this to the attention of the instructor as soon as possible. |
